Editorial Guidelines
Every release submitted to Global Media Wire passes through editorial review before distribution. Requirements scale with package tier: higher tiers place your release in front of larger, more selective outlets, so content is held to a correspondingly higher editorial bar. Review the requirements for your package below before you submit.
Starter
Starter allows all types of content, with no limitations or restrictions, provided it complies with applicable law and does not contain content that is defamatory, deceptive, or otherwise unlawful.
Plus
Plus content must be an actual news item or announcement — a product launch, funding round, partnership, hire, or similar newsworthy update. Promotional copy without a clear news hook will be returned for revision. Submissions from higher-risk industries (see Restricted Categories below) are not accepted at this tier.
Premium
Premium placements require a more solid, substantiated approach: concrete, verifiable content such as a company announcement, corporate milestone, or executive statement, written to a standard consistent with the receiving outlets. Editorializing, speculative claims, and unverifiable statistics will be flagged during review. All Restricted Categories are prohibited at this tier without exception.
Enterprise
Enterprise submissions follow Premium content standards, applied across your full release volume under the editorial SLA agreed with your dedicated contact.
Restricted categories
The following are treated as higher-risk and are restricted on Plus and prohibited on Premium and Enterprise: cannabis and CBD, cryptocurrency, tokens, and ICOs, gambling and betting, adult content, unregistered securities and investment offers, pharmaceuticals and unproven medical or health claims, firearms and weapons, and multi-level marketing. Content in these categories may still be eligible under Starter, subject to legal compliance.
Review process
All submissions are reviewed by our editorial team for compliance with these guidelines, house style, and factual clarity before release. We may request revisions, decline a submission, or ask for supporting documentation for claims made in your release. Editorial review confirms a release is fit for distribution — it does not guarantee placement on any specific outlet. For add-on media placements, final publication decisions rest with the receiving outlet.
