Client confidentiality

Your identity as a client, your account details, your order history, and the substance of any communications with our editorial team are kept confidential and are not shared with outside parties, except where required to fulfill your order (such as transmitting your approved release to the publisher network you selected) or where required by law.

We also do not tell third parties what articles a client has published or where they were placed. If a competitor, journalist, recruiter, or any other outside party asks us to confirm or deny whether a particular company has worked with Global Media Wire, what releases they have distributed, or which outlets carried their content, we will not disclose that information. This applies regardless of who is asking, and we do not maintain any public-facing directory or lookup tool of client activity.

This confidentiality commitment covers our internal account and order records — it does not extend to the published release itself. Once a release is live on an outlet in the publisher network, that page is public by design, since publication and visibility is the service you are paying for. What we protect is everything around that: who you are, what else you have submitted, what packages you have purchased, and any non-public details of your account.

How we share information

We share the content of an approved release with the specific outlets in our publisher network required to distribute it under your selected package — that is the nature of the service. We do not sell client data or lists, and we do not share client account information, contact details, or order history with data brokers, advertisers, or any other third party for marketing purposes.

We may disclose information where required to comply with a valid legal process, such as a court order or subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Global Media Wire, our clients, or the public.

Data retention

We retain order and account records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain the permanent Newsroom record associated with your releases, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. Published releases remain live and indexed as part of the permanent record described in our Terms of Service, unless removal is required by law.

Cookies and analytics

We may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site functioning correctly and to understand aggregate, anonymized usage patterns. This data is not used to identify individual visitors and is not shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
